The Requirements

Join us as a Data & Analytics Manager in Dublin or Belfast

  • This is an opportunity for a proactive and driven data and analytics professional to join our Remediation business
  • You’ll lead the way in delivering data driven solutions to business problems to ensure the best outcome for the customer and the business
  • You'll help to deliver the data management strategy and capability across bank wide remediation programmes

What you'll do

You'll work alongside clients to interpret and influence business needs, gather requirements and design analytics-driven strategies, calling on you to build and maintain strong relationships. You'll help to provide a deep understanding of the bank's data, analysing it and identifying solutions. You’ll need to develop your understanding of the data architecture and banking systems to develop effective and accurate solutions.

We'll also look to you to:

  • Use data and analytics techniques to support the end to end lifecycle of remediation activity, including root cause analysis, strategy design, building financial calculators and developing operational processes
  • Build great stakeholder relationships across all levels to gather and define detailed technical requirements
  • Interpret complex financial customer data to accurately map customer journeys
  • Develop and leverage an in depth understanding of the interrelationships of data and multiple data domains
  • Develop and implement effective controls and standardised processes
  • Work with stakeholders to understand their business priorities and work requests, ensuring adequate resources are aligned to projects where appropriate
  • Use P3M standard process, understanding the development lifecycles and minimum mandatory requirements

The skills you'll need

To succeed in this role you'll need a high level of drive and a commitment to personal and business success. You’ll have a proven history of engagement with stakeholders and an understanding of business analysis and project management techniques. Strong technical skills for manipulating large volumes of data are essential, and you'll need experience using Teradata and SAS. A degree in a numerate or statistically inclined discipline, such as Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or Computer Sciences, would also be welcome.

You'll also have:

  • Experience using software packages such as Teradata SQL, SAS,R, Python, Cloudera Hadoop Technologies, Tableau
  • Experience gathering requirements and writing functional documentation
  • The ability to use a wide variety of data sources, structuring data sets and delivering analysis to a high, often auditable standard
  • Attention to detail and foresight in this area, with strong data interrogation and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of data management to support analytics, including experience in big data technologies, and how to utilise them to solve complex business problems
  • The ability to efficiently interrogate, manipulate, analyse and validate large volumes of data
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills for coordinating across teams
