Risk & Controls Analyst

The Requirements

Join us in Dublin as a Risk & Controls Analyst

  • This is an opportunity for a passionate and driven analyst to support our First Line of Defence (FLOD) and businesses in applying effective risk and control management by anticipating and assessing the potential impacts of risk across the bank
  • You’ll undertake a range of tasks to deliver an effective risk management culture
  • As a trusted adviser, you’ll need to provide an impartial assessment and independent guidance to a variety of risk and control related topics

What you'll do

Working as part of Central Controls Team, you’ll support the effective application of the Operational Risk and Conduct Risk obligations. You’ll be supporting and overseeing the management of the risks, ensuring mechanisms are in place to identify report, manage and mitigate risk within a defined Risk Appetite.

As well as this, you'll be: 

  • Supporting the development, design, delivery, interrogation and analysis of relevant MI, supporting effective risk management 
  • Delivering insightful MI and reporting to a senior audience to drive control performance 
  • Improving the understanding and effective management of risk across the bank by supporting the business to ensure risks are identified, assessed, mitigated, monitored and reported in an effective manner 
  • Evaluating the adequacy of controls to identify any potential risks to business 
  • Contributing to the development of guidance notes, training material, content and up-skilling of the broader first line of defence function and businesses 
  • Supporting broader control team objectives

The skills you'll need

You'll need awareness of how a large financial services organisation operates. Experience working in First or Second line of defence is advantageous.

You'll also need: 

  • Proficient Excel skills 
  • Analytical skills 
  • A good track record of delivering and achieving objectives 
  • An awareness or understanding of UBIDAC Risk and Compliance frameworks
  • An understanding of operational and conduct risk management
