Manager, Risk & Control Assessment Delivery

The Business

Join us in Dublin in the role of Manager, Risk & Control Assessment Delivery

  • You'll make a real contribution to the UBIDAC Risk and Control Assessment (RCA) plan, supporting consistent quality implementation and sharing of best practice across UBIDAC
  • You’ll be responsible for working with and influencing our business control leads and second line of defence, developing effective and efficient processes to aid delivery
  • Working closely with a range of stakeholders, you'll identify and report on themes supporting enhanced first line of defence understanding of RCA, and how the outputs can support on-going risk management

What you'll do

In addition to driving the RCA plan, you'll form part of the UBIDAC Controls team, contributing to wider team objectives  and supporting risk management across UBIDAC.

We'll look to you to demonstrate risk leadership, supporting a culture of proactive risk management and continuous improvement across UBIDAC. You'll be responsible for driving an effective RCA methodology with a need to demonstrate effective risk management and decision making capability. You'll also proactively drive the continuous development of the RCA process ensuring learnings and outputs are converted into RCA strategies and action plans.

As well as this, your responsibilities will include:

  • Working collaboratively with stakeholders develop, maintain, manage and drive the annual RCA plan
  • Acting as the custodian of plan, ensuring change management
  • Reviewing RCA outputs to ensure driving, tangible actions are progressed
  • Supporting consistency and quality of end to end processes by developing and promoting support materials across UBIDAC
  • Embedding the trigger process.
  • Aligning with the second line of defence, and building strong relationships with RBS to leverage best practice

The skills you'll need

We're looking for a strong analytical thinker with excellent communication and influencing skills. You'll be a skilled leader, with experience of applying risk and control management in an operational and strategic context.

We'll also look to you to demonstrate:

  • Sound knowledge of risk assessment methodologies
  • A high level of business or operational experience
  • Proven experience of successfully influencing people to deliver great results, through coaching and motivating the broader team in the use of RCA
  • An understanding or experience of working with the bank’s risk and compliance frameworks
  • Knowledge of operational and conduct risk
  • Proven experience of dealing with and influencing senior stakeholders on a regular basis
