The Requirements

What you'll do

You'll be supporting the Data Privacy team by performing a wide range of day to day and occasional tasks in the Data Privacy Office. This will include managing the team mailbox and acting as a contact point for queries, and managing internal and external correspondence, including with the office of the Data Protection Commissioner. You'll also administer key data protection processes, such as privacy impact assessments and breach reporting.

Your other responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating team organisation, regular meetings, and governance
  • Maintaining full and accurate records of key deliverables
  • Preparing communications and training materials to be disseminated to stakeholders across the bank
  • Organising the DPO2 network in Ulster Bank
  • Acting as a link to the Privacy team in RBS

The skills you'll need

You'll have proven administrative and organisational skills, with good technical skills and the ability to learn new systems. You'll also have a good basic awareness of data protection, including GDPR.

We'll also be looking for:

  • A flexible approach, with the ability to work effectively as both a team player and on your own initiative
  • The ability to multitask and manage changing priorities, particularly at short notice
  • Reliability, consistency and discretion
  • Strong PC skills, particularly with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Strong spoken and written communication skills, with ability to build relationships at all levels
