The Requirements

Join us as a Data Analyst in Dublin

  • This is an opportunity for a proactive and driven Data Analyst to join us in our Remediation business
  • You'll help to deliver the data management strategy and capability across bank wide remediation programmes 
  • Hone your existing data management skills and advance your career in this exciting, fast paced role

What you'll do

You'll provide high quality analytical input to support the development and implementation of innovative processes and problem resolution.

We'll also look to you to:

  • Perform data extraction, storage, manipulation, processing and analysis
  • Utilise an in-depth understanding of the interrelationships of data and multiple data domains
  • Develop and perform standard queries to ensure data quality, identify data inconsistencies, missing data and resolve as needed
  • Collect, profile, collate and map appropriate data for usage in new or existing solutions as well as for on-going data activities
  • Interpret customer functional and information needs and turn them into functional or data requirements and process models 
  • Identify and document data migration paths and processes, standardising data naming, data definitions and modelling
  • Utilise RBS P3M (Portfolio, Programme, Project) standard process by understanding the development lifecycles and minimum mandatory requirements

The skills you'll need

To succeed in this role, you'll need a high level of drive and a commitment to personal and business success. You'll have the ability to package and present ideas with clarity, and to convey complex, technical information in an appropriate way.

You'll also have:

  • A track record of delivering data-driven insight
  • The ability to use a wide variety of data sources, structuring data sets and delivering analysis to a high, often auditable standard
  • Attention to detail and foresight in this area, with strong data interrogation and analytical skills  
  • Gathering requirements and writing functional documentation 
  • Strong analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative
  • An ability to efficiently interrogate, manipulate, analyse and validate large volumes of data 

It would also be an advantage (but not essential) to have:

  • Experience using software packages such as Teradata SQL, SAS,R, Python 
  • Knowledge of SAS or equivalent SQL based systems 
  • Experience with Tableau 
  • Good working experience on Advanced Excel and macros
