Information Security & Cyber Programme Manager

The Requirements

We're hiring an Information Security & Cyber Programme Manager to join us in Central Park Dublin or Belfast

  • This role is a chance for a passionate information security leader to deliver the Ulster Bank cyber strategy, and to support in meeting our business areas' objectives
  • As our customers' and the banking industry's dependence on digital services increases, we have a responsibility to keep both them and the bank safe
  • You'll be reporting directly the Chief of Information & Cyber Security, in what is a unique opportunity to lead and shape the future security strategy of the business

What you'll do

This role will see you supporting the Chief of Information & Cyber Security in delivering the cyber strategy and programme activities to support business objectives. In doing so you'll ensure we operate enhanced cyber and digital risk management, and that we enable key business activities to take place securely.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Support the design and implementation of an industry aligned framework
  • Ensuring project activities are tracked and managed through appropriate governance
  • Supporting and enabling digital cyber innovation by providing a forward view of industry developments such as PSD2, APIs and digital strategy
  • Assisting in developing MI and dashboards to reflect programme status
  • Working with stakeholders to ensure information security policies and cyber risk management frameworks are aligned to policy standards, allowing gaps to be monitored and treated
  • Providing input and opinion on IT security top-of-house risk to reflect the changing threat landscape

The skills you'll need

We're looking for a proven cyber security specialist, with knowledge of information security risk assessment and controls management, including an understanding of industry frameworks such as NIST, ISF, and ISO27001. You'll have clear, experienced knowledge of cyber security threat types and attack methodologies, with active risk management experience. We'll also expect a relevant information security, technical, or project related qualifications.

You'll also have the capability to:

  • Work with other areas to identify common challenges, build improvements, reduce duplication and minimise and resolve risks
  • Build good relationships across different levels, both within the bank and externally
  • Communicate the rationale of tough decisions in a way that keeps others focused and engaged
  • Find ways to make improvements and simplifications, or removes inefficiencies
  • Prepare high quality spoken and written reports for key stakeholders
