Assistant Risk Manager

Join us in Leopardstown as an Assistant Risk Manager

  • Joining our Invoice Finance team as part of the Commercial Banking Division, you'll provide working capital solutions to SMEs and corporate clients across of broad spectrum of industries

What you'll do

This role will see you working within our growing Asset Finance division, developing your knowledge of invoice finance within Ulster Bank's Commercial Banking division. You'll be collaborating with the Coverage and Portfolio team and other control functions across the business to provide excellent internal support, and enhance the business’s risk management and control environment.

You'll play an important role in the management of the Risk function by:

  • Assisting with the management of recovery cases to ensure that appropriate processes are in place to maximise collect out from debtors
  • Actively promoting good relationships with key internal customers through close contact and appropriate responsiveness
  • Identifying issues, formulating solutions and recommending action plans
  • Coordinating monthly risk meetings and reviewing weekly risk MI
  • Completing debtor verifications and underwriting debtor limits

The skills you'll need

We're looking for someone with experience providing support to a risk function, and the ability to deliver detailed portfolio MI and process improvements. You'll have strong stakeholder management skills, able to collaborate across teams to challenge and simplify business processes. You'll also be able to ensure all emerging data risks and issues are identified, documented and escalated when necessary.

As well as this, we're looking for: 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • A full or partial APA/QFA qualification
  • An awareness of the risks associated with invoice finance
