Valuations & Property Adviser

The Business

Join us in Dublin as a Valuations & Property Adviser

  • Reporting to the Head of Wholesale Portfolio Management, you'll ensure the effective and efficient management of all property valuation requirements
  • You'll contribute to the design and implementation of robust controls, procedures and processes in line with Customer Debt Solutions’ non performing loan requirements and the Commercial Banking division’s performing loan requirements
  • Liaising with the relevant teams, you'll coordinate the provision of the information required for the valuation process
  • Flexible working options are available as part of this role

 

What you'll do

Joining this new team, you'll design, develop, implement and embed an appropriate work-flow management model covering business processes, controls, disciplines and schedules that deliver the effective and efficient management of the life-cycle across the valuations business. You'll also design and deliver an appropriate governance framework for decision making in the valuations function.

You’ll assist relationship managers with property and valuation advice relating to their cases and how decisions may affect their security in the short, medium and long term. You'll then discuss appropriate options.

As well as this, you'll:

  • Liaise with the Wholesale and Retail Banking teams in regards to all 'runway' flows into valuations
  • Build and implement processes and standards including the management of external service providers
  • Lead a systems and security review, and build an asset register and valuation requirement process as part of driving best practices in valuations
  • Provide oversight of upcoming challenges, and build early warning forecasts to forward plan for future flows, peaks and troughs
  • Work closely with senior leadership team and MI leads to ensure the overall strategy is incorporated into MI development

 

The skills you'll need

We're looking for someone with extensive property and valuation experience within a professional and regulated environment, some of which gained in a senior position within financial services.

You'll have strong property management and asset management skills to assist relationship managers with property and valuation advice relating to their cases. You'll also be a member of SCSI, RICS and you'll have gained or have the ability to gain Registered Valuer status. QFA status would be an advantage.

We're also looking for:

  • Extensive knowledge of valuations best practice and techniques relating to commercial and residential property
  • Good knowledge of the ECB and CBI requirements for the valuation of immoveable collateral relating to non-performing loans
  • An appreciation for the regulatory, insolvency and legal environment relating to the restructuring and recoveries business
