Area Manager, Mobile Mortgages

The Business

Join us in Dublin in the role of Area Manager, Mobile Mortgages

  • You'll lead a team of Mobile Mortgage Managers to provide simple and straightforward advice and ensure our customers are confident that they're making the right choices for themselves and their money
  • You'll provide customers with a comprehensive range of products and help them make the most important financial decisions of their lives, whilst maintaining our high standards of conduct and business quality
  • While the role is primarily Dublin based, we promote flexible working from other locations and home

What you'll do

You'll be responsible for the day-to-day line management and development of a team of on the road Mobile Mortgage Managers, ensuring an exceptional service for our customers. You'll ensure delivery against performance metrics and regulatory challenges in the short, medium and long term, and focus on enhancing the customer experience.

As well as this you'll:

  • Help to maintain the bank's licence to operate, which you'll achieve by having the best people, supported by the most efficient processes
  • Build and leverage strong partnerships to deliver excellent performance
  • Monitor your team's performance, identifying opportunities for improvement 
  • Work closely with our Retail Management function

The skills you'll need

We're looking for someone with great people management and communication skills to lead and develop a team. Along with a background working in a financial services environment, you'll have an understanding of our mortgage products, and a good general understanding of the economics of mortgage lending. 

As well as this, you'll demonstrate:

  • A track record in business development and the ability to network, open doors to corporate clients and leverage existing corporate relationships that exist with other areas of the bank
  • Sound judgement and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure
  • Coaching, leadership and development skills
  • A thorough understanding of regulatory requirements for mortgages, internal controls and monitoring of adherence
  • Relevant APA/QFA qualifications and an understanding of mortgage credit, the operational risk appetite and key control and risk management
  • A passion for inspiring your team to meet customer demands and challenge business objectives
