The Business

Join us in Dublin or Belfast as a Senior Auditor

  • As part of the Ulster Bank Internal Audit team, you'll contribute to Internal Audit's reputation and integrity, providing independent assurance across the bank

  • You'll help us to provide expert independent assurance, and ensure risks have been identified and effectively controlled

What you'll do

This role will give you the platform to make a significant impact to our business managers to ensure they lead in a risk conscious way. You’ll work under the direction of the audit manager and with the wider team to map out processes, assess risks and controls, and gain a real insight into the control environment.

You’ll also:

  • Lead audit engagements when necessary
  • Analyse MI and review risk information to effectively support with the identification of key business risks
  • Compile and produce reports, which will provide important insight to the business heads, allowing them to adequately manage their risks
  • Gain experience in project management, where you'll drive the delivery of efficient and effective assurance activities

The skills you'll need

We're looking for someone with internal audit experience, sound analytical skills, and the ability to assess and priorities data effectively, quickly establishing what's important.

You’ll also have:

  • An understanding of the principles of good risk management, with experience monitoring and testing effective controls
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • A keen eye for detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to have open and effective discussions on key risks, engaging with business stakeholders
  • The ability to coach less experienced auditors
