Join us as Head of Investment and Delivery, Personal Banking RI

  • This strategic role will see you owning, and delivering the transformation of the Personal Banking business in the Republic of Ireland
  • You'll ensure long term sustainable value through leading the investment and financial management agenda for Personal Banking
  • Sitting within our Personal Banking leadership team, you'll have the opportunity to really make an impact while enjoying considerable variety and stakeholder interaction at the most senior levels in Ulster Bank and RBS
  • While the role is primarily Dublin based, we promote flexible working from other locations and home

What you'll do

You'll lead the development of the strategy for Personal Banking to deliver improved customer service and income growth with a reduced cost to serve, and deliver the investment planning process for Personal Banking, working closely with Strategic Finance to secure the investment required to deliver the strategy.

You'll also:

  • Lead the delivery and execution of Personal Banking Transformation in delivering a competitive and sustainable omni-channel service to meet changing customer needs  
  • Lead the annual budgeting process for Personal Banking, providing oversight and challenge in shaping the budget and income growth targets, through market insight and understanding of bank strategy
  • Work closely with the Personal Banking Management team to deliver a joined up view of performance against budgets and targets agreed, and provide insight and challenge to Personal Banking indirect cost line in improving the cost:income ratio
  • Manage the indirect cost line to ensure value for money and ensure the various cost lines within this are understood and challenged, to enable Personal Banking to deliver an improved cost:income ratio

The skills you'll need

We're looking for a strategic thinker who is able to translate strategy into meaningful objectives and drive performance across a variety of teams. You'll need strong commercial and financial knowledge of the Personal Banking sector and external market place, and direct experience of managing financials to deliver against multi million euro plans.

You'll also need:

  • A comprehensive understanding of the banking industry, and the regulatory and commercial environment it operates within
  • The proven ability to drive strategy and successfully execute large scale transformation
  • To be an exceptional communicator with outstanding collaboration skills, including an ability to influence and communicate with impact at a senior level
  • To provide leadership and direction to ensure proactive and collaborative engagement with stakeholders across both Ulster Bank and RBS to drive delivery of personal banking strategic plans
