The Business

Join us in Belfast or Dublin as a Senior Product Manager

  • We're looking for a strong leader who demonstrates both a strong strategic and customer focus to join Ulster Bank (UB) as a Senior Product Manager
  • You'll ensure a compliant and fair outcome for our customers through our products, while also minimising business risks and regulatory exposure

What you'll do

As Senior Product Manager for Everyday Business Banking and Cash you'll develop, deliver and manage value creating products for Business Direct & Commercial Banking in ROI, including a complex range of responsibilities across product performance, proposition, customer experience and marketing strategy - all with the aim of delivering a financial contribution for the business.

You'll develop the strategy for Product lines and monitor their performance against objectives using detailed analysis, recommending changes as required. Supporting the development of a comprehensive Product Category strategy, you'll align the overall strategy for Retail & Commercial Banking. 

Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Managing product P&L to ensure product pricing delivers on financial plans, identifying and driving changes where required to improve performance
  • Managing the development of, and ensuring of the effective customers through close collaboration with the Marketing Communications team and Retail & Commercial Distribution Channels
  • Building strong relationships with key stakeholders, providing insight and commercial recommendations on product opportunities 
  • Managing the strategic relationship with in sourced, outsourced and third-party suppliers ensuring services and product propositions are aligned to UB strategy
  • Challenging and recommending improvements to the customer experience, improving the quality of end-to-end product processes 

The skills you'll need

To succeed in this role you'll need to have an excellent track record of meeting objectives within deadlines and budget. With a strong commercial and strategic drive, you'll also be customer focused with a clear understanding of wider issues impacting the financial services industry.  Knowledge of Business Current Accounts and Cash is desirable.

You'll have well developed leadership skills, with the ability to identify areas for improvement while providing constructive feedback and coaching to team members. Focusing on the personal development of direct reports and leading in a professional way, you'll ensure Performance Management frameworks are adhered to. 

It is important that you possess an excellent understanding of key drivers of P&L across the Product Lines in order to achieve financial targets, as you'll be accountable for the delivery of P&L and customer targets.
